Wins caucuses in Minnesota & Colorado, non-binding primary in Missouri

With his wife Karen watching, GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum delivers
a victory speech in his St. Charles, Missouri campaign headquarters after winning
that state's non-binding primary Tuesday, 02/07/12. He garnered 55% of the vote
in a 3-way race that included Mitt Romney with 25% and Ron Paul with 12%. Newt
Gingrich was not on the ballot, having not qualified. Santorum also romped in the
Minnesota caucuses, with 45% to Ron Paul's 27%, with Romney running 3rd with
17% and Gingrich last with 11%. The big suprise of the day was in Colorado, where
Santorum edged Romney 40% to 35%. Romney had expected a win in that state.
Gingrich won 13% in Colorado and Paul 12%. The 3 wins Tuesday give Santorum
4 states so far, having been declared the eventual winner in Iowa's caucuses.

felons may not hold a public office. The case presents an interesting twist on a favorite
argument of the GOP, which is that voter-ID laws should be enacted in order to prevent
voter fraud, which is nearly non-existent. Critics maintain that such laws are merely
thinly-veiled attempts to stop minority voters from showing up at the polls.
